Welcome to GuideControl

GuideControl is Dovideq's take on the light guide cable tester. In 10 seconds your cable is tested on 3 parameters: Light Transmission, Light Fibers and Colour Correctness. Here you'll learn how to set it up, how to use it and how to work with GuideControl and EndoscopeManager.

If you want to store your test results from GuideControl, you'll need to know some things about EndoscopeManager. This video gives you a quick introduction to the system.

Step 1: Go to www.EndoscopeManager.com

Step 2: Log in with your credentials. Don't have an EndoscopeManager account? Please contact us.

Step 3: From the main dashboard, click on the plus icon on the bottom right next to the pie chart.

Step 4: Select the condition of your cable. You have the options New, Used, and Refurbished. Then click next.

Step 5: Select your brand and type from the dropdown menu. As an example we're using an Arthrex AR 3240 5027. Then click next.

Step 6: Enter the cables serial number. Depending on how you identify your cable, add the Data matrix code, RFID tag or barcode by scanning it with your preferred scanning method. Then click next.

Step 7: Check to see if all details are correct. Optionally, you can assign the cable to a department or add a comment. When you're done click next.

Congratulations! You've now added this cable to EndoscopeManager. When you scan whichever code you added to this cable, so UDI, RFID or barcode, with GuideControl, the test results will be stored under this serial number.

Where to find your test results from GuideControl in EndoscopeManager.
EndoscopeManager stores test results under the corresponding light guide cable serial number. To find a specific test follow these steps:

Step 1: Go to EndoscopeManager.com
Step 2: Log in with your credentials. Don't have an EndoscopeManager account? Please contact us.
Step 3: From the main dashboard, click on Light Guides in the menu bar.
Step 4: You'll now see an overview of all the light guide cables registered to your account. Every light guide cable has a timeline. A green dot indicates a passed test, a red dot indicates a failed test. If you don't scan a cable before a test with a connected GuideControl, your test results will be added to the 'unknown' timeline.
Step 5: By default, your Light guide cables are sorted by the most recent test. To find a specific cable, enter the serial number in the search box in the top right and hit enter.
Step 6: Click on the cable of which you want to see the test results.
Step 7: You'll see a summary of the cables usage on the bottom, and a timeline showing every parameter score it got within the set date range on the top.
Step 8: In the bottom right section, click on test report. This tab shows you all the tests that were done with this cable. To create a report, simply select which tests you'd like to include in the report and click create report on the right.

A report will now be automatically generated with the tests that you selected.
